About Telos

Built for students who
want to reach the top.

Telos is a university preparation program for students aged 11–18 — built by graduates of Oxford, Imperial, Harvard, Cambridge and MIT who believe there is a fundamentally better way to learn.

Most capable students are being
significantly undersold.

The problem is almost never ability. The students who underperform relative to their potential share one thing in common: nobody has ever shown them how to learn, how to think, or what they are actually capable of. Telos exists to close that gap.

The student who coasts

Bright, capable, getting decent results without really trying. The school environment has never demanded more. So they never find out where their real ceiling is — or that they don't have one.

The student who works but doesn't see it

Putting in the hours. Doing the right things on the surface. But the results aren't reflecting the effort, because the method is wrong — not the student.

The student who is burning out

High achieving, high pressure, running on empty. The psychological side of performance has never been addressed, only the academic side. Eventually, something gives.

The student with no direction

Capable of almost anything, pointed at nothing in particular. Without a genuine sense of what they're working toward, even strong students lose momentum.

Built around how students
actually learn best.

We do not teach to the school syllabus. We teach students how to think: conceptually, flexibly, and deeply. The exam results follow. The understanding lasts a lifetime.

STEM Excellence: Beyond the Curriculum

Mathematics and sciences taught at the level of genuine understanding, not procedure memorisation. Students explore concepts their school will never show them. The kind of thinking that makes every exam question feel straightforward by comparison.

Psychology of Performance

How to learn. How to manage pressure. How to recover from setbacks without losing momentum. The psychological framework that separates students who perform consistently from those who perform occasionally.

Monthly sessions · Ongoing support

Strategic Thinking: Chess with a Chess Master

Chess taught by a titled Chess Master — not as a hobby but as a framework for pattern recognition, long-term planning, and thinking several moves ahead. The cognitive skills transfer directly to academic performance and beyond.

Monthly sessions · Community tournaments

Network, Access and Direction

Personal 1-1 sessions with mentors currently at or graduated from Oxford, Imperial, Cambridge, Harvard, and MIT. STEM is our focus; in exceptional cases we connect students with the right specialist regardless of subject.

Matched 1-1 mentoring · Target university access

Simple. Personal.
Deliberately unhurried.

We work with a small number of students at a time, by design. Every student who joins has spoken with us first. That conversation determines everything that follows.

A Conversation, Not a Sales Call

The first step is a genuine conversation with someone who has been through the exact academic journey your child is on. We want to understand your child's situation properly. You will leave the call having learned something useful regardless of what you decide.

Individual Assessment

Every student is assessed before their program begins — not to judge, but to understand. Academic level, learning style, psychological profile, and direction.

The Program Begins

Group sessions with a small cohort. Personal 1-1 sessions each month. Recorded sessions to revisit. A community of peers all pushing in the same direction.

Ongoing and Compounding

Students who continue go deeper with each cycle: higher material, stronger mentor relationships, more nuanced psychological tools. The earlier a student joins, the more time the development has to compound.

Everything you need to know.

Telos is designed for secondary school students, roughly ages 11 to 18. The program is tailored individually, so we work with students across a wide range of year groups. The earlier a student joins, the more time the development has to compound, but we work with students at any stage of their secondary education.
Our core focus is STEM: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science. This is where our expertise is deepest and where we can make the most meaningful difference. In exceptional cases, where a student has a specific need in another discipline and we have the right person in our network, we will connect them. We never compromise on quality of access.
All sessions are delivered online, via video. Group sessions are kept small, with a maximum of 8 students, so every student receives genuine attention. 1-1 sessions are scheduled monthly and can be used for anything the student needs: academic questions, university guidance, personal challenges, or just thinking out loud with someone who understands.
Telos is a premium program and is priced accordingly. We do not publish pricing on the website — because the right program for your child depends on what we discover in our initial conversation. The first call is free. What you decide after that is entirely up to you.
Our mentors are students and recent graduates of Oxford, Imperial, Cambridge, Harvard, and MIT, predominantly in STEM disciplines. Matching is done manually, based on what we learn in the initial assessment: the student's target universities, subjects, personality, and what they need most from the relationship.
That is exactly who Telos is designed for. Most high-achieving students are performing well inside a system that is not demanding nearly enough of them. Telos is the environment that starts to reveal what they are actually capable of — and that is a very different experience from being told they are doing well.

If this resonates,
let's talk.

The first step is a conversation. We will listen properly, share honestly, and between us work out whether Telos is genuinely the right fit. There is no obligation either way.
